Two Keynotes, One Message
At CES 2026, NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang and AMD’s Lisa Su delivered two very different keynotes—one
wrapped in robotics and world models, the other in rack-scale infrastructure and democratized
AI. Yet beneath the stylistic contrast, both CEOs articulated the same structural truth:
AI demand is growing faster than the world can build compute.
Huang framed it as the rise of physical AI—robots, factories, and autonomous systems—all requiring orders of magnitude more computation. Su stated it directly: “We don’t have nearly enough compute for what AI wants to do.” Together, these two messages form the clearest signal yet that the global semiconductor industry has entered a new era: the age of compute scarcity.
